John Tamihere discusses Auckland mayoralty bid

Auckland's new mayoral candidate John Tamihere says the city is badly treated by central government and is being unfairly taxed. The former Labour cabinet minister announced at the weekend he will run for mayor, with current coucillor and former National cabinet minister, Christine Fletcher, as his running mate. Announcing their campaign the pair said they also want to make the Auckland council more transparent and give more power back to local boards. Phil Goff has not yet said whether he will run in this year's election. John Tamihere talks to Susie Ferguson.
