Students struggling to find rentals in Wellington

Students heading to university are among those struggling to find somewhere to live in Wellington. TradeMe's latest figures show the capital has become the country's most expensive city for renters as costs soared by 5.8 percent in the past year. Students spoken to by RNZ say the tight market is making flat hunting super competitive - Harry Simpson and his three friends have applied for more than 50 flats with no success. James Ranstead is the president of the New Zealand Union of Students' Associations. He is in our Wellington studio.
