Thousands join group taking extreme action on climate change

More than 1500 people have signed up to a new environmental protest group, Extinction Rebellion, which is pledging to take extreme action over climate change. In Britain the activists caused widespread disruption by blocking roads and bridges, gluing themselves to buildings and deliberately getting arrested by the hundreds. And here, they're also pledging to do what it takes to spark radical government action. Jonathan Oosterman, is a Sociology and Social Policy Lecturer at Victoria University, who has spent years researching, and taking part in, climate change activism.
