Queenstown tourists hit by falling tree still in hospital
Five foreign tourists hit by a falling tree at the ShotoverJet base near Queenstown yesterday are still in hospital on Wednesday morning. Three - including a pre-school child and his mother - are in Dunedin Hospital. One them is in a serious condition, and the other two are "stable". The remaining pair are in Queenstown's Lakes District Hospital. Four of the group are from one family. The news has left workers, tourists and the community shaken. RNZ Otago-Southland reporter Timothy Brown spoke to visitors on Tuesday night about the accident.
