Who is shaping Auckland's future?

From Morning Report, 7:16 am on 21 January 2019

The voices of younger, poorer and ethnically diverse communities in Auckland are being drowned out by older, wealthier, Pakeha residents, an RNZ investigation has found. The 26-thousand submissions made on Auckland Council's long-term 2050 Plan were dominated by Pakeha in particular - even in areas of the city where they're a minority. Democracy advocates say that mirrors the demographic that usually shows up to public consultations and the council needs to completely re-think how it engages with Aucklanders.
