UK Prime Minister Theresa May postpones Brexit vote

From Morning Report, 7:37 am on 11 December 2018

British Prime Minister Theresa May has postponed Tuesday's (UK time) crucial Brexit vote so she can go back to Brussels and ask for changes to her deal. Mrs May admitted the deal "would be rejected by a significant margin" if MPs voted on it now. Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon called the decision "pathetic cowardice" of a government now "collapsing into utter chaos". Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn described the impasse as unprecedented and extremely serious. The Prime Minister was jeered and mocked by MPs on all sides of the House of Commons as she announced the delay. Here's a taste of the debate.
