Pacific people back calls for mental health service overhaul
Pacific people are backing calls for mental health services to be overhauled. The Mental Health Inquiry report, released last week, has revealed Pasifika find the current system "hostile, coercive, culturally incompetent, individualistic, cold and clinical". And with Pacific people suffering higher rates of psychological distress than any other ethnic group in the country, they have a lot at stake.
