Taxpayer and ratepayer contributions to the 2021 America's Cup now total almost $250 million. This after Auckland councillors voted on Thursday to stump up an extra $14.5 million. And earlier in the week the government chipped in another $22 million. Phil Goff is the mayor of Auckland. He tells Guyon Espiner about the decision.
