Dodgy WOF-passed cars fail rechecks
Two thirds of the cars rechecked so far amid the warrant of fitness crisis have failed their re-inspection. About 750 vehicles have been checked - 465 failed and needed repairs. RNZ has agreed not to name the man who was involved in a rear-end collision when his brakes locked up. He'd been getting his car serviced at a garage in Auckland that was known for its cheap and easy-to-pass WOFs. He spoke to RNZ reporter Phil Pennington.
