Ancient Terracotta Warriors arrive in Wellington from China

From Morning Report, 6:46 am on 4 December 2018

The 2300-year old Terracotta Warriors will be the first international exhibition to be held in Te Papa's new art gallery Toi Art. Eight of the 8000 full-size warriors and two horses that guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor until they were discovered by chance by a farmer digging a well in 1974 will be part of the exhibition that opens on December 15. RNZ reporter Dan Dalgety has had a sneak peek at the terracotta soldiers and filed this report.
