'Anxious' parents paying for MenW vaccine - Northland doctor

From Morning Report, 7:51 am on 29 November 2018

A Northland doctor says he's heard from dozens of anxious parents willing to pay $138 for them to be vaccinated against a deadly strain of meningococcal disease. A free immunisation programme against the virulent W strain will begin in the region next week. But the vaccines are only being funded for two age groups - those 9 months to under-5, and aged 13 to under-20 - leaving a gap for those aged 5 to 12. Andrew Miller is a GP in Whangarei. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
