Ardern won't intervene in 'Chinese intimidation' case

A group of 29 researchers, human rights advocates and academics have written to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern asking for greater protection of academic freedoms. The action was sparked after Professor Anne Marie Brady from Canterbury University had her car tampered with and home burgled multiple times after speaking out about China's political influence in New Zealand.
