'We need to draw a line on Chinese intimidation' - Tze Ming Mok

From Morning Report, 8:34 am on 26 November 2018

A group of academics say the Prime Minister needs to speak out in defence of a professor who's been subject to harassment and intimdation. Professor Anne Marie Brady from Canterbury University has had her car tampered with and home burgled multiple times since she was critical of China's political influence in New Zealand. The group of 29 researchers, human rights advocates and academics have written to Jacinda Ardern to ask for greater protection of academic freedoms. The letter was the idea of Tze Ming Mok who says she was disturbed by the official silence over what was happening to Anne Marie Brady.
