Surgeons, not midwives should cut tongue-ties - doctor

A Wellington anaesthetist says most babies having tongue-tie surgery are given no anaesthetic for the procedure. Graham Sharpe has written to the Health Minister demanding that tongue-tie surgery by untrained people for poorly diagnosed reasons is stopped. The surgery is supposed to help babies who have trouble breastfeeding. Dr Sharpe tells us the procedure is being done far too often.
