Pike re-entry: Safety was priority over politics - Bridges

The Minister responsible for Pike River Andrew Little says the National government totally failed the families of Pike River. Today marks the eighth anniversary of the mine disaster which killed 29 men. Mr Little says the National government promised to do everything possible for the families but did not fulfill that promise. And he says it oversaw a labour department that failed to ensure the safety of miners and then agreed to drop a prosecution of the mine's manager in exchange for him paying compensation tot he families. Opposition leader Simon Bridges is in our Auckland studio. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
