Secondary teachers to vote on strike
Rolling strikes by primary school teachers and principals move on to Christchurch today. Meanwhile secondary teachers are now half-way through a series of regional meetings that will decide if they too will strike next year. Both groups of teachers have been offered three three percent pay rises and the government has told primary teachers there is no more money to add to the offer. Members of the Post Primary Teachers Association are deciding if they will accept that offer or hold out for something better. RNZ education correspondent, John Gerritsen went along to one of the meetings.
