Eugenie Sage defends land sales to overseas buyers

From Morning Report, 6:43 am on 13 November 2018

The Land Information Minister Eugenie Sage is pushing back against claims she is rubber-stamping the sale of sensitive land to overseas buyers. New figures show the Green Party minister has approved 21 applications for almost 60-thousand hectares over the nine months since she took power. Over the same time, she rejected just two requests, for 30 hectares. Former Green MP Sue Bradford says Ms Sage needs to push much harder for change or give up her ministerial role. But Ms Sage told RNZ political reporter Craig McCulloch she stands by the decisions.
