Oil, gas permits ban passes into law

A ban on new offshore oil and gas permits passed into law last night. The Crown Minerals Amendment Act was voted-in 63 to 55 in Parliament after the government surprised the sector with a ban in March 2018. Neil Holdom, the mayor of New Plymouth, talks to Guyon Espiner.
