Cruise scheduling angers Akaroa locals

The haphazard scheduling of cruise ships is infuriating many people living in the seaside town of Akaroa, near Christchurch. More than 90 cruise ships will visit between now and April next year, up from 75 last year, and some locals are warning the small village will struggle to cope. And they expect the chaos to continue until a $67 million cruise berth is completed at Lyttelton Harbour in 2020.
