More prison likely for 'Beast of Blenheim' - ex-detective

The detective who led the original investigation into serial rapist Stewart Murray Wilson says the 71-year-old should never again be let out of jail. Wilson, dubbed the Beast of Blenheim, was jailed for 21 years in 1996 for for a multitude of violent sexual attacks on women and girls. He was freed on parole under strict supervision but is expected to be back behind bars after being found guilty yesterday of a further 11 historical charges including rape and attempted rape - one of the victims was aged just nine. Retired detective Colin Mackay led the Blenheim investigation in the 1990s.
