Chorus must shoulder responsibity for subcontractors - E Tū

From Morning Report, 6:15 am on 9 October 2018

Telecommunications company Chorus is holding urgent talks with the Labour Inspectorate today after a damning investigation into ultrafast broadband subcontractors. The inspectorate has found 73 subcontractors in Auckland didn't keep employment records or agreements, as well as failing to pay the minimum wage to workers, many of whom vulnerable immigrants. E Tu union spokesperson Joe Gallagher says Chorus needs to shoulder the responsibility for the contracting blunders.
