Michael Barnett discusses Chinese bid for Whangaparaoa road

From Morning Report, 8:36 am on 8 October 2018

A Chinese firm has made an unsolicited four-hundred-million-dollar bid to pay for and build a four-lane toll road north of Auckland. The road would link the Whangaparoa Peninsula, north of Auckland, with State Highway One and would be the first Chinese funded and built road in the country. The bid came through the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and they've forwarded it to the Transport Agency. Auckland Chamber's chief executive Michael Barnett talks to Guyon Espiner.
