Kavanaugh joins US Supreme Court - now what?
Brett Kavanaugh has been sworn in as a United States Supreme Court justice after being confirmed in the tightest vote in the Senate in more than a century. His appointment cements conservative control of the court and follows a nomination tainted by allegations of sexual assault and political bias. The vote in the senate and Justice Kavanaugh's swearing in at the Supreme Court just hours later drew the ire of thousands of demonstrators. Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer says that emotion needs to be channelled into action at the ballot box. Simon Marks is our correspondent in Washington. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
