Understanding Māori criminal offending 'simplistic' - Ward Kamo

A new report says colonisation and institutional racism are to blame for the over-representation of Māori in prison. Ward Kamo has a different view, saying the real solutions lie with whanau and the choices people make. He's a board member of Pillars, which supports the children of prisoners, and his parents worked as prison chaplains. He talks to Guyon Espiner.
