A comprehensive capital gains tax is expected to be the centre-piece of the interim report of the Taxation Working Group when its released today. The group has received some 6,700 submissions and spoken with business and community groups in roadshows up and down the country. So what kinds of an overhaul are the group likely to suggest to the government? And will they be on the right track?
