Consumer confidence lowest in six years - survey

Consumer confidence has fallen and that's not surprise to retailers. The Westpac McDermott Miller survey for consumer confidence has fallen to its lowest level in six years. More consumers than ever feel they are personally worse off now than a year ago, and see no likelihood of improvement in the year ahead. The general manager of public affairs for Retail NZ, Greg Harford, told RNZ reporter Tom Furley businesses are feeling it.
