Philippines ambassador to NZ wants better deal for students

The Philippines' ambassador, Jesus Domingo, wants New Zealand tertiary institutions to agree to stronger protections for the more than 4-thousand Filipino students in this country after a string of complaints. Mr Domingo says there are gaps in the Code of Practice institutions must sign before they enrol foreign students and he has developed his own document for those enrolling people from the Philippines. One Auckland college has already signed up. Here's our education correspondent, John Gerritsen.
