Concerns aquifer replenishing technology 'untested'

From Morning Report, 8:15 am on 13 September 2018

A controversial technology Forest and Bird says is untested and experimental is being considered to replenish a Central Hawke's Bay aquifer that's running out of water. The Ruataniwha aquifer, which provides most of the drinking and irrigation water for the district - and almost all of the water in the Tukituki River - is dwindling. Locals say artificially refilling the aquifer isn't the answer, and want an immediate halt on all new consents until a study of the aquifer is carried out.
