Police staff system has 'dubious legal aspects' - lawyer

An employment lawyer is criticising the use of a controversial management tool used for scoring staff sick leave. Police emergency dispatchers have complained they're too scared to take time off when sick because they were being penalised for a high score under the Bradford Factor system. And now the E Tū union says some NZ Steel also uses the management tool. It says staff there are using their annual leave when they're ill because they don't want to rack up their sick days. Employment lawyer Barbara Buckett talks to Susie Ferguson.
