A new report reveals China is not spending as much aid money in the Pacific as some thought. Data from Australian think tank the Lowy Institute shows New Zealand and Australia have pumped the vast majority of money into the region, with China paling in comparison. Dr Marc Lanteigne is a Senior Lecturer at Massey University's Centre for Defence and Security Studies. He says the government's Pacific Reset funding is still important though, and has borne fruit.
