Thousands left homeless on quake-hit Lombok

From Morning Report, 7:10 am on 8 August 2018

The death toll from the powerful earthquake that hit Lombok is now more than a hundred. Thousands are homeless and still waiting for desperately needed help to arrive. The greatest need is for water and food. The ABC's David Lipson is on Lombok and he says it's still very much an emergency situation. One New Zealand tourist has described helping the injured and dying in the hours after the 6.9 quake on Sunday. Charlotte Fenwick was having dinner with friends when it hit. She spoke to RNZ reporter Sophia Duckor-Jones as she was being evacuated by boat yesterday from Lombok to Bali.
