Andrew Little describes fatal Lombok earthquake

From Morning Report, 6:35 am on 6 August 2018

Another strong earthquake has struck Indonesia's popular tourist island of Lombok. Many buildings had been affected, debris is littering the streets and the power is out in many parts of the main city Mataram. The 7-magnitude-earthquake struck around midnight New Zealand time, triggering a brief tsunami warning. AP is reporting 39 people have now been reported killed. It comes just one week after another quake in the same area killed more than a dozen people. Justice Minister Andrew Little and Australia's Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton are in Mataram in Lombok for a security conference. They were evacuated to the local Airport. He spoke with Morning Report producer Lucy Smith in the early hours of this morning.
