Thousands of fruits trees could go up in flames as the Ministry for Primary Industries wrestles with a biosecurity threat brought on by defective paperwork. MPI has ordered the containment or destruction of any plants that passed through a US company that sells cuttings for apple, cherry and other summer fruit trees to New Zealand. Andy McGrath is a grower who's been involved in the apple and stonefruit industry for years. He talks to Alex Perrottet.
