Waikato man who died didn't get proper care - coroner

From Morning Report, 7:24 am on 30 July 2018

A coroner has found that a Waikato man who died of heart failure didn't get proper care in the lead up to his death. Sixty-year-old Gerald Gotty, who died in September 2014, lived in a freezing caravan at his brother's property and was under a complusory mental health treatment order because of his schizophrenia. His care was being surpervised by an overworked district nurse and the coroner says the family were struggling to cope.
