Turmoil as UK foreign secretary Boris Johnson quits

The British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has resigned, becoming the third minister in 24 hours to walk out of the government rather than back Theresa May's plans for a new Brexit. Commentators have called it the biggest jolt in British politics since the Second World War. Britain is due to leave the European Union on March 29, 2019, but the two sides have yet to agree how trade will work between the UK and the EU afterwards. Boris Johnson's departure came shortly before Theresa May began addressing the UK Parliament about her new Brexit plan, which has angered many Conservative MPs. Ms May defended her plans to the dismay of the Opposition. Our correspondent in London Paul Barber explains the details.
