Offshore oil ban causes onshore uncertainty

Oil and gas companies in Taranaki say the government's decison not to offer new offshore exploration permits is spreading uncertainty throughout the sector and threatening livelihoods. Onshore operators say investors are begining to look elsewhere and staff recruitment is becoming more difficult. Industry lobby group, Pepanz, took journalists to visit two onshore installations this week and our Taranaki reporter Robin Martin went along.
