Govt to cut back on role in world telescope project
The government is looking to back out of paying up to $30 million towards the world's largest radio telescope, and two of New Zealand's universities aren't happy. New Zealand is one of the project's 11 full membership countries and so far the Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment has poured $2.3 million into the construction of the Square Kilometre Array.
