Workplace sexual harassment data to be collected

The government is to officially begin collecting data on sexual harassment in the workplace from Monday. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment is setting up a separate register of such claims to help better understand the scale of the problem. It says all information gathered will be confidential and any personal identifying features will be removed from the incident reports. An employment lawyer Chloe Luscombe - from the Dundas Street law firm told RNZ political reporter Craig McCulloch it's a step in the right direction.
