Fuel price comparison app becomes popular in Auckland

The co-founder of a petrol and diesel price-comparison app says the Auckland regional fuel tax has led to a huge spike in motorists wanting to shop around. The Gaspy app crowd-sources prices at the pump and gives people an instant update on prices in their area. It launched last year and co-founder Larry Green told Tom Furley interest has gone through the roof in the past few days.
