Trustees' suggestion principals quit boards 'folly'
The government's review of how schools are run has prompted calls for principals to be dumped from school boards. For nearly 30 years principals have been voting members on boards, but now the school trustees association argues they're not needed. Principals have hit back, saying they are often the only one on the board with any knowledge of the education system. Here's our education correspondent, John Gerritsen.
