Oranga Tamariki apologises for Trade Me ad
Oranga Tamariki has been forced to say sorry for what the opposition is calling the crass use of TradeMe to find foster parents for children. One ad on the website describes a young Whanganui school-girl who's had a tough start in life and needs a forever home. It also gives her iwi affiliation and calls her bright and loving with strong family values. The Ministry's chief executive Grainne Moss has admitted the ads are a mistake.
