NZ schools look offshore for technology teachers

Hiring technology teachers from overseas is a stop gap measure and more needs to be done to address a shortage. The comment from principals follows news the Ministry of Education is working with two recruitment agents to provide subsidised help for schools looking to bring in teachers from overseas. In the past six months they have sourced 15 teachers from offshore. The Secondary Principals' Association president, Mike Williams, told Conan Young this was not a long term fix.
