Greymouth fears arsonist on loose after major fire

Greymouth residents fear a fire-bug may be on the loose after police have confirmed a massive blaze in the town early yesterday morning was deliberately lit. Priya Indian restaurant, on Tainui St, caught fire shortly before 4am on Sunday and was already engulfed in flames by the time fire crews arrived at the scene. The building's owner is David Carruthers, who also has his law practice there.
