Peters' legal action, Cabinet role 'a game of hats' - Geddis
A legal expert says it is "unprecedented" for the Deputy Prime Minister to sue public servants, but New Zealand's constitutional arrangements are flexible enough to cope with the tension. It comes as Mr Peters is set to become the acting Prime Minister for six weeks while Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is on maternity leave. Andrew Geddis is a professor of law at the University of Otago.
