Kura waits years for approval to teach seniors

Five years ago, Te Kura Kaupapa Māori o Hurungaterangi applied for approval to teach and get proper funding for its Year 9 to Year 13 students. But its principal, Oriana Lemon, says nothing has happened since. And as our Māori news correspondent Leigh-Marama McLachlan found, teachers are dipping into their own pockets to help the students get by.
