Lack of debt collection rules a problem for govt

The lack of regulation around debt collection has emerged as a problem as the Government reviews the country's lending laws. Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Kris Faafoi says he's concerned about some of the stories he's heard about families being pressured to repay debts and unreasonable fees being charged. Tim Barnett is the chief executive of the National Building Financial Capability Charitable Trust, which represents budgeting services across the country. He told our social issues reporter, Sarah Robson, about some of the problems budgeting advisers are seeing with debt collectors.
