People on parole blocked from state houses - lawyers

Criminal lawyers are backing up claims by the Justice Minister that people on bail or parole are being routinely blocked from staying in state houses. They say that leaves the courts with little choice but to leave people in custody, putting pressure on an already straining prison system. Housing New Zealand denies that it has such a policy. But the Criminal Bar Association says many state housing tenants believe there is one - and so themselves object to having a family member placed with them. The association's president Len Andersen speaks to our political reporter Craig McCulloch.
