Police chase review due October - IPCA judge

From Morning Report, 8:10 am on 21 May 2018

Nineteen people have died in the last two years while fleeing from police - the latest over the weekend was a 15-year-old riding in the boot of a car. Police Minister Stuart Nash told us he backed the police and said he's not sure how to send a stronger message to young drivers to stop. The way police choose whether to chase a fleeing driver is currently under review by the Independent Police Conduct Authority with a result due in October. Joining us now is the chair of the IPCA Judge Colin Doherty.
