Fumes force closure of Auckland building

Tenants have been barred from an Auckland office building until the cause of fumes that caused the hospitalisation of 15 people yesterday is identified. Augusta House on the corner of Victoria St West and Elliot St was evacuated twice on Thursday - once in the morning and again in evening. Office workers complained of an unusual smell but numerous tests failed to establish out what the problem was. Last night, Fire and Emergency assistant area commander, Dave Woon, said the cause was still unknown.
