100% Pure name change not due to bad publicity - Tourism NZ

Tourism New Zealand says what it's calling an evolution of the 100 percent Pure campaign is not to mitigate bad publicity. The slogan has come under fire in the past for not accurately portraying the state of the country's environment. Tourism New Zealand chief executive Stephen England-Hall, told RNZ reporter Sally Murphy the brand is continuously changing and is based on four principles.
